The late Rev. Deacon William Thomas Stege (31 May 1976 - 21 February 2010) was an author, and deacon of the Nazarani Church. He is the younger brother by a different mother of His Excellency, Hadrian Mar Elijah Bar Israel, the Nazarani Metropolitan. Attracted to the monastic way of life, Deacon Thomas moved from Belleville, Illinois in 2002, to live at the Saint Antonios Monastery in the Quinault Rain Forest of western Washington State.

He was tonsured monk and ordained as a deacon in Christ on the 21 December 2003. He served as the personal assistant to his brother until 2005, when he moved to Phoenix, Arizona with the idea of starting a mission church there.

He famously wrote the book The Apostolic Lineage, which traces the Apostolic Succession of the Nazarani Church through the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria.

Deacon Thomas went to his heavenly abode on 21 February 2010, after a lengthy battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He is buried at the Mount Carmel Cemetery, in Belleville, Illinois.

DEACON THOMAS, PLEASE PRAY FOR US!
